TippingPoint Wins Oman Telecom

Austin-based TippingPoint, a developer of intrusion preventoin and other security tools, reported today that it has been selected by the Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) as part of a security install. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. TippingPoint, which is a unit of 3Com, said the firm's Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) software is being used to protect Omantel's network.
