The Planet Hires VP

The Planet reported Monday that it has hired Thomas S. Blair as vice president of global sales. The Houston-based IT hosting firm described Blair as a sales veteran with more than 25 years of experience. Most recently, The Planet noted, he spent 10 years with Terremark Worldwide Inc. and Data Return Corp., which Terremark acquired two years ago. At Terremark, The Planet continued, Blair served as senior vice president of channel sales and strategic alliances, a position he had previously held for Data Return. He also spent eight years with Octel Communications.
