TI Launches NFC Design Challlenge

Dallas-based Texas Instruments is hoping to drum up interest by developers in building near field communications (NFC) wearables, using its chips, through a design challenge. TI said its new ultimate NFC wearable design challenge is focused on its challenge will award the top prize of a a Sony SW3 SmartWatch 3 SWR50. The deadline for the initial stage of the challenge is July 17th, and engineers can enter the challenge online. NFC is a technology which is being heavily used for contactless payment systems.
