TI Donates $100,000 To Philippines Relief Effort

Texas Instruments is pitching in a large amount of money to help out victims of the super typhoon in the Philippines, the Dallas company said this morning. TI said that it is giving $100,000 via its nonprofit foundation, the TI Foundation, to the Red Cross, towards the American Red Cross (ARC) Typhoon Relief Fund for Philippines disaster relief. TI also said it will match its employees' donations--up to $100,000--for additional donations made through November 30th to the Red Cross fund. Texas Instruments has two facilities in the Philippines, in Baguio and Clark, which it says were not affected directly by the typhoon. TI has had operations in the country since 1980.
