SystemFabricWorks Team Heads To Cray
What looks like almost the entire staff of Austin's SystemFabricWorks (SFW) has just been hired by supercomputer maker Cray, according to an announcement this morning. Cray, which makes supercomputers used by the government, research institutions, and others for data calculation intensive computing tasks, said that it hired a majority of SFW's employees, as part of an agreement with SFW. Cray said SFW's CEO, Robert (Bob) Pearson, Bill Boast (VP Business Development), and a number of engineers from SFW have joined the company as part of the deal. SFW developed products for the storage interconnect and high performance computing (HPC) market.
