Spredfast Takes On Facebook Tabs

Austin-based Spredfast, the developer of social media management software, said today that it has launched a new feature to allow enterprises to create and manage Facebook tabs. Spredfast said the new features make it easier for companies to create, manage, and update tabs, via a library of built in templates, layouts, and modules hosted by Spredfast. The firm said those templates include things such as photos, videos, quizzes, contest, promotions, and registration forms. Spredfast said customers using its product include AARP, Nokia, Bayer, HomeAway, Porter Novelli, ING Direct and AGAIN Interactive. The firm is venture backed by Interwest Partners and Austin Ventures. Spredfast's CEO is Rob Favaron, the former CEO of Lombari Software.
