SparkCognition Names Former U.S Marine Corps General To Board

Austin-based Spark Cognition, a startup developing artificial intelligence software for the cybersecurity market, has added retired U.S. Marine Corps General John Allen to its board of directors, the company announced this morning. General Allen is the former Commander International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), the Deputy Commander US CENTCOM, and Special Envoy to the President. SparkCognition recently raised a funding round from CME Ventures, Verizon Ventures, The Entrepreneurs' Fund (TEF), and Alameda Ventures.
