Spanning Sets Sales VP

Austin-based cloud data backup software developer Spanning Cloud Apps has named a new sales VP this morning, saying it has appointed Garrett Jones as its new VP of Sales. Jones was most recently VP of Global Channel Operations at Symantec, and also has worked at Dell. The company said that JOnes will work on developing its multi-channel sales efforst, and in particular its international efforts. Spanning Cloud Apps provides data backup and restore for cloud apps such as GOogle Apps and Salesforce.com. The company is backed by Foundry Group.
