Silvercar Brings Latest Venture Funding Round To $6.0M

Austin-based Silvercar, the developer of the next-generation, smartphone driven airport rental service, has boosted its latest venture funding round to $6.0M, according to a regulatory filing from the company. Details on the funding have not yet been announced by the company. The funding is part of an effort that kicked off in June for the company, according to that filing, and included a total of six investors. SilverCar operates an online, car rental service driven by smartphone and online reservations, offering up a tech-friendly, premium Audi A4 with in-car navigation, Wi-Fi, and satellite radio.
