Silicon Labs Sues Quintic

Austin-based Silicon Laboratories, a developer of analog and mixed signal ICs, said this week that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Quintic Corporation, based in California, and that firm's Chinese affiliate. According to Silicon Laboratories, it is alleging that the two firms have infringed on five of the firm's patents, covering mixed signal integrated circuits. The firm filed the suit in the U.S. Federal District Court in Austin. The firm says it is seeking a permanent injunction against the infringing products.
