Silicon Labs Names Bock Interim CFO

Austin-based analog and mixed-signal semiconductor maker Silicon Labs said today that it has named Bill Bock, a longtime Austin technology veteran, as its Interim CFO. The move comes after its current CFO, Paul Walsh, left the firm. Silicon Labs did not say where Walsh is departing to, only saying he is leaving the firm to a firm outside of the semiconductor industry. Bock was previously CFO of Silicon Labs, and also has served on the company's board of directors. Bock has been on Silicon Labs' board since 2000, was appointed CFO in 2006, and then retired in 2011, rejoining its board. He also served at DAZEL Corporation, HP, Tivoli Systems, Texas Instruments, and also was at Convex Computer during its IPO back in 1986.
