Silicon Laboratories Adds Board Members

Austin, Texas-based Silicon Laboratories Inc., a manufacturer of analog-intensive, mixed-signal integrated circuits, reported yesterday that it has appointed Nelson C. Chan and Kristen M. Onken to its board of directors. The company said both individuals will serve as independent, outside directors. Silicon Labs described Chan as the president and chief executive officer of Magellan, a manufacturer of global-positioning satellite devices. Onken, Silicon Labs explained, recently retired as chief financial officer from electronics peripherals manufacturer Logitech. Silicon Labs added that Onken will serve on the board's audit committee, while Chan will serve on the board’s compensation committee. The company said that the addition of Onken and Chan gives the company nine board members, six of whom are independent, outside directors.
