San Antonio Next On Google Fiber List

Google is bringing its high speed, gigabit fiber network to San Antonio next, according to Google on Wednesday, which says it is planning the layout of over 4,000 miles of fiber optic cables in San Antonio with the city, as it enters the "design phase" for the network. Google said that San Antonio will be the largest city to be part of Google's Fiber service to date. No firm date on a rollout in San Antonio was given, however, Google said that residents could sign up to receive updates on when Google might start building its network around San Antonio.
