STMicroelectronics Moves Closer To DFW

Semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics reported today that the firm is moving its U.S. headquarters to Coppell, TX, closer to DFW. According to STMicroelectronics, its new headquarters building is approximately 100,000 square feet, and will house its U.S. administrative offices along with some product division management functions and sales and marketing staff. The firm's headquartered were previously in Carrollton, about 9 miles away. STMicroelectronics said it will be closing the older offices, which it acquired in 1987. STMicroelectronics has its global headquarters in Geneva.
