RenewData Gets Patent

Austin-based RenewData, a provider of e-discovery services, reported that it has received a patent for its technology. The firm said it was awarded Patent No. 8,150,827 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. According to the USPTO, the patent was actually granted way back in April of 2012. The patent names Andrew Kraftsow as the inventor on the patent; Kraftsow is Chief Scientist at RenewData. RenewData said the patent covers the technology used in its Language-Based Analytics offering, used to sort through, tag, and identify documents in e-discovery collections. The patent was originally filed in June of 2006.
