Rackspace Launches DevOps Automation Service

San Antonio-based RackSpace is jumping on the DevOps bandwagon with a new service to automate the popular process of rapidly bringing products and features to market, the company said this morning. According to Rackspace, its new DevOps Automation Service is aimed at developers, to help them automate the process of deploying and scaling hybrid cloud infrastructure. DevOps is a increasingly popular technique of rapidly adding features to software products, and deploying and testing them in a matter of hours, rather than days or even months. Pricing on the new offering was not announced. Rackspace said its new service is aimed at helping companies access DevOps talent without having to find, recruit, and train developers in the technique.
