Rackspace Courts Ad Agencies, Web Design Firms

San Antonio-based hosting provider Rackspace is targeting advertising agencies and web design firms with a new feature for its Cloud Sites offering, the company announced this morning. The firm said it has added new, enhanced features for the offering, including wider ranges of programming languages, support for PHP 5.3 and .NET, and faster hardware and reliability for the service--all of which it says are particularly relevant to ad agencies and design firms. The firm said the platform has been particularly popular with advertising agencies and web design shops such as GSD&M, Sitewaves.net, Future Buro and Southern Web Group. The firm is pushing its service at the ad:tech conference in San Francisco this week.
