ROME Corporation Acquired By Triple Point Technology

Houston-based ROME Corporation, a provider of enterprise credit risk management software, has been acquired by Triple Point Technology, a Connecticut-based provider of energy and commodity risk management software. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Triple Point Technology announced the acquisition very late Monday. ROME's customers include New York's Independent System Operator (NYISO), Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), ConocoPhillips, Tesoro, Southern California Edison, BG Group and FirstEnergy. Triple Point said it would add 48 employees to its roster as part of the acquisition, with rOME founder and chief marketing officer, Dan Reid, joining as VP, Credit Risk Solutions for Triple Point. ROME was venture backed by Azure Capital Partners and Powershift Ventures L.P., and also has operations in London.
