Quarri Technologies Scores $2.77M

Austin-based Quarri Technologies, a developer of security software for the business web application market, has raised $2.77M, part of an ongoing equity funding round targeted at $4.6M. The funding came to light via a regulatory filing by the company, and has not yet been announced by the company. Source of the new funding was not announced. Quarri recently changed its name from Quaresso Software. Quarri is headed by Bill Morrow, former Vice Chairman of the Board, Director and CEO of Grande Communications; Morrow also has been on the board of the Texas Emerging Technology Fund. Quarri provides endpoint security software, which prevents end users from sensitive data loss, targeting compromise by keyloggers, frame grabbers, session hijacking, and other malware.
