Pluck Acquired By Demand Media

Austin, Texas-based Pluck, which provides social media software for publishers, has been acquired by Demand Media, Demand Media said Tuesday afternoon. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Pluck is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Mayfield, and Reuters Venture Capital. Demand Media is the venture funded startup headed by Richard Rosenblatt, former chairman of MySpace. Pluck was founded in 2003.
