Pivot3 Shows Storage Software

Spring, Texas-based Pivot3, a developer of clustered storage software for the enterprise computing market, said today that it is demonstrating its distributed RAID and storage virtualization software with ServerEngines. The two companies are showing the clustered, iSCSI solution at the Next Generation Data Center conference happening this week. Pivot3 provides software which allows companies to create distributed, iSCSI-based RAID arrays; the software runs on standard servers. ServerEngines develops iSCSI target hardware blades. Pivot3 is venture backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners and InterWest Partners.
