Pinion Software Acquired By GigaTrust

GigaTrust, a developer of digital rights-management applications, announced Tuesday that it has purchased the assets of Pinion Software, an Austin-based publisher of DRM utilities for computer-aided design applications. Terms of the deal, which closed Jan. 31, were not reported. As a result of the transaction, GigaTrust said it could now offer its clients in the enterprise-level manufacturing, aerospace and defense sectors a rights-management solution for every facet of their businesses. Pinion is a privately held company headquartered in Austin, Texas. Based in Herndon, Va., GigaTrust maintains regional offices throughout the United States.
