Perception Software Names CTO

Austin-based Perception Software, a developer of product operations and management software for manufacturers, said yesterday that it has named Scott Harger as the company's new Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering. Harer joins the company from IBM, where he was an architect in IBM's information management development organization. He also has served at Initiate Systems. Perception Software said Harger will focus on its ext generation of product data discovery, navigation and publishing products for the cloud and mobile. Perception is led by Darryl Worsham.
