Owlchemy Labs Acquired By Google

Austin-based Owlchemy Labs, developer of such virtual reality games as Job Simulator and Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, has been acquired by Google, the two announced on Wednesday. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Owlchemy was venture backed by Qualcomm Ventures, HTC, The VR Fund, Colopl VR Fund, Capital Factory, and many local Austin angels. The company had raised only $5M in a funding in August of 2016.
