Noesis Energy Gets $6.5M For Energy Efficiency Efforts

Austin-based Noesis Energy, a new startup targeting the energy efficiency market for commercial and industrial customers, said today that it has received an initial investment of $6.5M, from Austin Ventures. Noesis said it is planning to unveil a cloud-based, energy management platform which provides free analytics tools, energy market data, educational resources, sand experts to help energy managers and consultants in the commercial and industrial energy efficiency market. Noesis said it has acquired Managing Energy, Inc, a Canadian developer of energy management and analytics software, as the foundation for its offering. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Scott Harmon is the CEO and founder of Noesis Energy. Harmon was the CEO of AlterPoint, and co founder of Motive Communications; he also has served at Tivoli Systems and IBM. More information »
