NetQOS Acquired By CA For $200M

Austin-based NetQOS, a developer of network performance management software, has been acquired by computing software firm CA, in a deal worth $200M. According to CA, it will pay $200M in cash for NetQOS, whose tools are used by enterprises to monitor the network performance of their data centers. NetQOS was backed by Liberty Partners. CA said that NetQO had annual revenues of $56M in 2008, and has more than 1,000 active customers worldwide. Joel Trammell will join CA as SVP and General Manager, and Dr. Cathy Fulton, CTO of NetQOS, will join CA as SVP of Software Engineering. CA also said that it expects a majority of NetQoS' 250 employees to remain with the firm.
