MultiVir Files For IPO

Houston-based Multivir, a developer of gene therapy products for treating cancer, has filed for an IPO, saying that it is looking to raise up to $70M on the NASDAQ Global Market as MVIR. The company's IPO is being undewritten by RBC Capital Markets, Nomura, and Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. MultiVir is backed by Pope Investments, and is led by Robert E. Sobol.
