Motorola Mobility To Shut Fort Worth Plant

Motorola Mobility, the smartphone maker now owned by Google, said Friday that it is shutting down its Fort Worth plant. The plant--which only opened a year ago to build Motorola's Moto X phone--had employed 700 workers. Motorola Mobility said the factory is expected to close by the end of the year. The plant had only opened in May of 2013, and when opened was hailed as the first smartphone factory in the U.S.
