MicroVentures Reaches $16M Invested In Startups

Austin- and San Francisco-based startup investment service MicroVentures, which is a provider of an equity crowdfunding marketplace, said this week that its investors have invested a total of $16M into startups on the service. The firm has been able to conduct its fundraising ahead of clarifications on the JOBS act by being a traditional broker-dealer. MicroVentures did not say how many companies have been funded through its platform so far.
