MedAssets Buys XactiMed

Atlanta-based MedAssets has acquired Richardson, Texas-based XactiMed, a provider of web-based software and service for the healthcare industry, the firms said Wednesday morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. XactiMed's services are used for claims management, remittance management, and other management of healthcare claims. XactiMed was advised by B.C. Ziegler and Company and Hughes & Luce LLP in the deal.
