Mavenir Acquires Stoke

Richardson, Texas-based Mavenir, which develops communications software and hardware, said late Wednesday that it has completed its acquisition of Stoke, Inc.. Mavenir said the acquisition will help it expand its global reach, and in particular strengthen its presence in markets like Japan and South Korea. Financial details of that buy were not announced. Stoke developed LTE security gateways, and counts NTT Docomo and Softbank as its customers. Stoke had raised over $130M in funding from such backers as DAG Ventures, Focus Venture, Integral Capital Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Net One Systems, Pilot House Ventures, Reliance Communications, and Sequoia Capital.
