Mark Cuban, Tim Headington Fund Security Technology Firm

Mark Cuban, the Dallas technology mogul who owns the Mavericks, and Dallas-based oil billionaire Tim Headington are the lead investors in a California maker of security tools. According to BlueCava, a developer of device authority and authentication technology used for fraud prevention, Cuban and Headington have joined to invest $5M in the company. BlueCava's technology is used by e-commerce firms to prevent fraud, by using information about the computers and mobile devices being used by users to place orders to detect those associated with fraud. As part of the funding, a Series A for the firm, Cuban has joined the company's board. More information »
