Macheen Acquired By Good Technology

Austin-based Macheen, which operates an a-la-carte, wireless data service aimed at corporate users, has been acquired by Good Technology, Good TEchnology said this morning. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Good Technology said the acquisition will allow it to offer up embedded, corporate data plans for business apps. Macheen was headed by Richard Schwartz, and venture backed by DFJ Mercury Venture Partners, GemVentures, North Bridge Venture Partners, and Qualcomm Ventures, along with angels. The company's wireless data service allows companies to only pay a fraction of the cost of normal wireless data, by limiting access to only certain applications, like email or corporate apps.
