MVPindex Gets $7M For Social Media Ranking Tools

Dallas-based MVPindex, a new startup focused on social media indexing and measurement for the sports and entertainment industry, has raised $7M in a Series A funding. According to MVPindex, the funding came from KP Partners, New Form Digital, and other investors in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Names of the company's other investors were not announced. As part of the funding, Keith Bank of KB Partners and Ed Wilson of New Form Digital have both joined the company's board. MVPindex is led by Shawn Spieth. The company's software ranks and indexes sports and other entertainment figures by their social media influence and following. More information »
