LibreDigital Sees Magazines Shifting To Digital

Austin-based LibreDigital, the provider of electronic book distribution services and related software that is headed by Russell Reeder, said today that it has been seeing growth in magazines distributing digital content. The firm said it saw 175 percent more revenue November through January than in the previous 12 months combined from distributing digital magazine content. Financial details of the growth were not disclosed, however, the firm said the growth was driven by demand from tablet and e-reader partners. LibreDigital's services are used to convert magazines into formats for the Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader, Kobo, NOOKnewsstand from Barnes and Noble, and other digital readers.
