LibreDigital Expands Exec Team

Austin-based LibreDigital is expanding its executive team, the firm said today, as part of the firm's recent venture funding round. According to LibreDigital, it has added Frank Lyman as Chief Marketing Officer, and promoted Albert Lopez to Vice President of Corporate Development, and Rob Beauchamp as Vice President of Product Management. Lyman was most recently at CourseSmart, where he was EVP Marketing and Business Development. Lyman also served at John Wiley & Sons, LifeMinders.com, Procter & Gamble, and Prentice Hall. Lopez has served at Procera Networks, Oracle, Taleo, US Web, MS2 (now Agile Software), and AdFlight; Beauchamp was most recently at Sun Microsystems, and also served at United Devices, and Journee Software, where he was founder. LibreDigital provides services to publishers, to help them digitize and publish their books on electronic readers. The firm said yesterday that it had raised $8.1M in a Series C round.
