ITW Global Brands Opens Tech Center In Houston

ITW Global Brands, a developer of automotive products that including Rain-X and Slick 50, said it has set up shop in Houston. The firm said it has opened up a new, product research and development center in the city, staffed with 10 engineers, scientists, and associates. The $1M, 11,000 square foot facility will work on new product research and development. ITW said its scientists and engineers, most of whom have advanced degrees, will work on its various products, which include Rain-X, Black Magic, Gumout, Slick 50, Blue Coral, and other automotive products. ITW said its research group has a background in material and surface science, surfactants and polymers, colloid (dispersion) technology, tribiology (lubrication) technology, and fuel and oil additives.
