HomeAway Buys Instant Software

Austin-based HomeAway, the online vacation rental marketplace operator, said today that it has acquired Instant Software, a developer of vacation rental management software. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to HomeAway, the firm will invest further in the electronic distribution and online booking capabilities of Instant Software's product. The two had been working together prior to the acquisition. HomeAway said that it will add 50 employees to its team, bringing its total employees to 710. Instant Software was based in Denver, Colorado.
