HealthHelp Debuts Clinical Decision Support System

Houston-based HealthHelp is looking to apply computer technology to help improve the treatment of patients, through a new, clinical decision support system. According to HealthHelp, it has launched MedTree QDS, a system which helps healthcare providers in the radiology, cardiology, radiation therapy, and oncology areas pull up up-to-the-minute, evidence-based appropriateness rating for a chosen test or treatment plan. Pricing on the new offering was not disclosed. HealthHelp's systems are for specialty benefits management, health care payers, and physicians; the data HealthHelp provides is typically used by health care payers to determine how a course of treatment by a physician measures up to the industry, to prevent unnecessary, ineffective, and often expensive treatments.
