GoPro Acquires Austin's Splice In Video Editing Push

GoPro has acquired Austin-based Vemory, the mobile app developer behind Splice, a popular iOS video editing tool, GoPro said late Monday. Financial terms and details of the deal were not disclosed. GoPro acquired Splice along with fellow video editing app developer Replay, in a bid it say was to improve the video editing capabilities available to its users. GoPro said that Splice's developers will continue to maintain operations in Austin. Vemory bought Splice back in September of 2014.
