Gazzang Links With Rackspace

Austin-based database encryption and key management software developer Gazzang said this morning that its data security tools are now available to customers of Rackspace, as part of the launch of a new Apache Hadoop-powered big data platform launched today by Rackspace. According to Gazzang, it will provide its data encryption and key management for Rackspace's Big Data customers as part of the new Rackspace offering. Gazzang's software provides data encryption of a wide range of open source databases. The company already has been providing its tools to Rackspace's OpenStack clouds. Gazzang is venture backed by Austin Ventures and Silver Creek Ventures.
