GE Energy Invests In PoGens

GE's Digital Energy business--which is run out of San Antonio--said Tuesday that it has invested in Power Generation Services, a startup developing cloud-based, managed energy services. Financial terms of the investment were not announced. According to GE, the minority investment in PoGens will help its strengthen its cloud-based, software-as-a-service offering, GridIQ Solutions. GE said it will add PoGens capability to its cloud-based offering, helping to bolster its monitoring, outage detection, asset management, and other features in that tool.
