FuelQuest Sells Software Line To Avalara

Houston-based FuelQuest, a developer of cloud-based energy software, said Tuesday that it has sold its Zytax, energy-related tax automation business to Avalara. Financial terms of the sale were not announced. FuelQuest said the divestiture will allow it to focus exclusively on its fuel management automation business. Avalara is a Washington State-based provider of cloud-based sales tax and compliance software. FuelQuest said the deal also includes a long-term, license agreement with Avalara covering its tax determination capabilities.
