Freescale Employees On Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight

Austin-based Freescale Semiconductor has been directly impact by the missing Maylaysia Airlines flight, which disappeared over the weekend over the South China sea. According to Freescale, 20 of its employees were confirmed passengers on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which was enroute from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it disappeared from radar screens. Freescale said that 12 of its employees from Malaysia, and eight from China were on the flight. A widespread search for the airliner is currently under way, although there has been no sign of the airplane -- or any debris -- yet. Freescale said it has assembled counselors for its employees.
