FlightAware Launches iPhone App

Houston-based FlightAware, a developer services and software for aircraft tracking, reported today that it has rolled out a free, flight tracking application for Apple's popular iPhone and iPod Touch devices. The firm said the application--available for free download in Apple's App Store--provides real-time status and position of airline and private flights in the U.S. The firm said the new application provides a full screen, tracking map and information on NEXRAD weather, along with aircraft position, speed, and altitude.
