EF Johnson Sold To JVC KENWOOD

Irving, Texas-based EF Johnson Technologies--best known for its handheld and commercial radios for the public safety and other markets--has been sold to JVC KENWOOD, the company said late last week. Financial details of the sale were not disclosed. EF Johnson, which was owned by private equity investor Francisco Partners, said the move goes to help JVCKENWOOD increase its focus on professional communications and the U.S. public safety market. EF Johnson was advised by Raymond James & Associates in the deal.
