EDS Names CEO

Plano, Texas-based outsourcing giant EDS said Thursday that it has named Ronald A. Rittenmeyer as the firm's President and CEO. Rittenmeyer, who is currently President and COO of the firm, will also join the firm's board of directors. Rittenmeyer will assume the CEO role September 1st, replacing Michael H. Jordan, who continue to serve as Chairman of the firm. Rittenmeyer has been at EDS since 2005, and has previously served at private equity firm The Cypress Group. He also served as CEO and President of Safety-Kleen and AmeriServe, along with RailTex, along with a number of other executive positions.
