DogTelligent Looks To Fund Fitbit For Dogs

Is your dog getting enough exercise and activity? Austin-based startup DogTelligent> said it has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for what it calls the first, all-in-one smart dog collar, which uses Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cell phone connectivity to track your dog's every movement. DogTelligent, which is led by Patrick Perrine, said the dog collar syncs with the DogTelligent app on smartphones and computers to track dogs' location, activity, and more--and even includes a ultrasonic training whistle and "anti-barking" technology. The collar--think "Fitbit for dogs"--is expected to retail for $159.95. The company is hoping to ship the product in August.
