Dell to Sell Inside Japan's Bic Camera Stores

Computer manufacturer Dell Inc. revealed Thursday that it has formed a retail partnership with Japan's Bic Camera Inc. Under the two companies’ agreement, Dell will sell various systems through Bic Camera, including Dell's new XPS M1330 notebook, the Inspiron 1520 notebook, the Inspiron 6400 notebook and the Inspiron 530s desktop. Dell said it has staffed "Real Site" kiosks inside Bic Camera stores and other retail outlets since 2000. The kiosks, Dell explained, allowed customers to place orders for Dell products. Dell added that it expects its traditional retail activities at 22 Bic Camera stores throughout Japan will begin in early August. Dell is headquartered in Round Rock, Texas.
