Dell Unveils Three Linux-Based Systems

Computer retailer Dell Inc. announced Wednesday that it is now offering its customers three Linux-based systems. Dell said the systems, which come from the factory with Ubuntu 7.04 installed, are the result of the overwhelming customer feedback the company has received since February. Dell said its Linux-based systems are limited to two desktop models—the XPS 410n and the Dimension E520n—and one notebook model—the Inspiron E1505n. The systems range in price starting from $599 to $849, the company added. Dell Inc. is a Fortune 500 business based in Round Rock, Texas.
